The Sun has Risen to its Full
A project by Mihai Codrea, Sânziana Dobrovicescu, Lars Tuchel, Iona Nitulescu, Alexandra Budianu, Daniel Gravila, Icarus Ensemble.
A project conceived by a Romanian artistic collective. Loosely inspired by the literary masterpiece The Waves by Virginia Woolf, the protagonists of the novel come to life through soliloquies, dialogues, and episodes. The performance intertwines sound and images in an immersive and enveloping structure, where music and set design merge into one another. The grand stage – amplified and functioning as a musical instrument – surrounds the audience, immersing them in a total sensory experience. The sound emanates from all directions and angles, creating a truly unique and engaging way to experience the performance.
