“Stories of the Plain” is a festival by Icarus Ensemble, the natural continuation of last year’s “Stories of the Apennines”, partly following the same format: bringing together timely themes such as ecology and the use of cutting-edge technologies with the concept of community, interpreted in different ways.

The first event will be entirely dedicated to nature and the new awareness it inspires through the “magical lens” of technology. The centerpiece will involve the Indian community within a Bollywood-themed restaurant, featuring renowned performers from Bangalore and MusikFabrik from Cologne, gathered around Icarus.

Other events will explore Luciano Berio’s relationship (on the centenary of his birth) with tradition, as well as the ancestral use of percussion in both classical and popular music.
