SPIRALIS AUREA by Stefano Pilia

Stefano Pilia is a guitarist, bassist, producer, and composer active on both the Italian and international experimental scenes. His work combines instrumental practice, recording processes, and an exploration of the perceptual qualities of sound. Founder of projects such as 3/4HadBeenEliminated, Il Sogno del Marinaio with Mike Watt, and the Spiralis Aurea Ensemble, he has collaborated with numerous prominent artists and performed in contexts ranging from rock to contemporary music. He was a member of Massimo Volume, has collaborated with Rokia Traoré since 2012, and has been the guitarist of Afterhours since 2015. He has released over forty works and created soundtracks and live scores for major film institutions.
