Icarus vs Muzak resumes the Ritratti series inaugurated last year by offering five important pieces from Alessandro Solbiati’s latest production. The pieces for oboe were written for Heinz Holliger and resonate with the extraordinary abilities of this performer. The works for guitar explore the tone possibilities of this instrument, while Albatros, an elaboration of an earlier work, was performed by Icarus vs Muzak in its Italian premiere and replicated in Skopje, Macedonia.
