Hort represents a new type of creative approach, based on the cooperation between different languages, here represented by emerging young artists from several European countries. The theme is highly topical, focusing on ecology and the care of nature—an issue of great sensitivity in contemporary Spain. The Peralada Festival courageously includes this innovative work within a program featuring renowned names from the international music and dance scenes.

The artistic cast consists of emerging artists with promising futures: the music composition is entrusted to the Catalan duo Mario G. Cortizo and Elena Tarrats, while the sound spatialization is handled by French artist Damien Bazin. The direction is entrusted to the award-winning Italian director Silvia Costa, who comes from the Raffaello Sanzio Company. Therefore, the cast is very young and strongly international in character.

The Festival Internacional de Música “Castell de Peralada” is a historic event, founded in 1984, that hosts important figures from the world of concert and opera music every year. Established in 1987, the Festival is considered one of the main artistic events of the Spanish summer. The Festival’s patronage is part of the corporate social responsibility policy of the Peralada Group, in line with its international spirit of active contribution to culture and the promotion of music. It is a unique initiative in terms of supporting and promoting music, and a clear commitment to excellence in artistic proposals in opera and dance.
