Dopo il suo debutto nel 2023, la Fondazione ha sentito l\u2019esigenza di riproporre quest\u2019opera per bambini, sentendo l\u2019urgenza di tenere alta l\u2019attenzione sul tema dell\u2019Olocausto.<\/p>\n

Questa bella fiaba a lieto fine ha infatti una genesi dolorosamente intrecciata alla persecuzione degli ebrei. La prima versione di\u00a0Brundib\u00e1r<\/i><\/em>\u00a0venne scritta infatti da Hans Kr\u00e1sa e Adolf Hoffmeister nel 1938 in occasione di un concorso indetto dal governo della Cecoslovacchia. Il concorso venne poi annullato ma nel 1941 iniziarono comunque le prove nell\u2019orfanotrofio ebraico di Praga dove and\u00f2 in scena nel 1942. Nel frattempo per\u00f2 sia Kr\u00e1sa che lo scenografo che aveva lavorato alle prove, Frantisek Zelenka, erano stati deportati nel campo di concentramento di Terez\u012bn, vicino a Praga, seguiti a breve da quasi tutti i membri del coro ed il personale dell\u2019orfanotrofio. Kr\u00e1sa decise nonostante tutto di continuare le prove, riusc\u00ec a ricostruire a memoria l\u2019intera partitura adattandola agli strumenti disponibili nel campo e nel settembre 1943 l\u2019opera and\u00f2 in scena nel campo di concentramento.
